Niraj Bora

Mr Niraj is the founder and director of Surmount Business Advisors. The practice targets to become a strategic partner to the entrepreneur and enterprises to help expand businesses beyond their existing roots, professionalize their operations and enhance their management team.

Niraj started his career as an intern with Haribhakti & Co (then member of BDO International) and later joined Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Practice. He has diversified experience in Transaction Advisory (Buy/Sell Side), Fund Raising, Assurance, Taxation, IPO etc across Infrastructure & Real Estate, E commerce, Retail, Financial Services, Media & Entertainment and Education Segment. He has worked with some key Private Equity firms and key corporates in India including Reliance Group, M&M, Axis Bank, Piramal Group, Essel Group, HCL etc. Over the course of his career, he has worked on several transactions operating in diverse sectors including Real Estate & Infrastructure, Technology & Financial services, Media & Entertainment and E-Commerce Sector with revenues of over $10b and with Asset Under Management (AUM) of $1bn.

Niraj earned a B.Com from IGNOU, Delhi, Chartered Accountancy from ICAI in 2011 and Company Secretaryship from ICSI in 2010. He secured ranks thrice in Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) and Company Secretary (ICSI) Examinations. He was the Nagpur region topper in CA examinations in 2008 and has been rewarded with P.D.M Agrawal Best Student Award by Nagpur Chapter of ICAI in 2008.

Deepak Soni

Mr Deepak has worked with firms like M/s Rajiv Shah & Co and Pipaliya Singhal & Associates. He was a part of Risk Advisory Practice in Mumbai and has gained diversified experience across Real Estate, Manufacturing, Logistics, Mining, Retail & Financial Services. He has also worked in Assurance,Taxation during his stint and has worked with some key groups in Maharashtra like Mehta Group, Agrawal Group, RAK Group etc.

Deepak completed his Chartered Accountancy from ICAI in 2010. He brings with him experience of about 7 years in providing Finance Domain.

Prem Nahar

Mr. Prem has worked with firms like M/s Mahesh C Solanki & Co, (MCS), M/s Economic Laws and Practice (ELP) and Deloitte before joining the Surmount team. He was a part of Risk Advisory Practice in MCS and has gained diversified experience across Transport and Logistics, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Financial Services business.

He has worked for some of the key business houses such as Computer Science Corporation (CSC), Ruchi Group, Jash Engineering, SBIL Group, etc.

He has also worked in Statutory Audit and Assurance Practice for US based MNC while his stint in Deloitte. At Deloitte he was the part of the External Audit and Assurance team where he was working for US based MNC'c in Consumer and Retail Business.Prem completed his Chartered Accountancy from ICAI in 2016 and a B. Com from DAVV, Indore.

Aditya Saraf

Mr. Aditya Saraf started his career as an article with M/s Arvind Sanghvi and Associates, Indore where he got exposures in the field of taxation, accountancy and finance.

He has been with Surmount as a senior associate since October 2016 and handling matters related to Debt & Equity funding, Taxation, Assurance etc across Real Estate, Manufacturing, Ecommerce, Food, Education, Agriculture and Related Segment.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI in 2016 and also holds Bachelor’s degree of Commerce from Devi Ahilya Vishvavidhyala University (“DAVV”).

Praveen Rai

Mr. Praveen Rai started his career as an article with G. D Apte & Co, Chartered Accountants, Pune where he got exposure in the field of Audit, Taxation and Finance domain. He has been with Surmount as a Senior Associate since August 2017 and leading finance and legal matters related to portfolio companies.

He is also involved in Equity & Debt funding, Due Diligence and other Transaction advisory assignments for clients across Tech Startups, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Healthcare and Real estate etc.

He has done his Masters in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune and currently serving his CA Final level.
